Bubble tea, tea houses, Asian bakeries and dessert shops in this group are usually walk-in, counter-order businesses with a menu board overhead listing sweetness and ice levels you can adjust when ordering. Standard bubble tea customization includes sugar level (0-100%), ice level, and a choice of toppings like boba pearls, pudding or jelly, usually at a small extra charge. Asian bakeries sell items individually with tongs and a tray, cafeteria-style, rather than pre-boxed, and pastries are typically less sweet than Western bakery items. Lines build up quickly after school and in the evening, especially near colleges. Most of these businesses accept cards and mobile pay and skew younger in clientele and atmosphere.

Went for my wife's Komboocha and found the staff to be friendly, but not as knowledgeable about how the distribution system worked. We were trying to get a 64 ounce bottle refilled, but it was only able to provide enough pressure to half fill it. We were charged a fair price for what we got, but I wish the Boocha folks would be sure the staff knows how to operate it before it's turned over.

I asked if they could do a Dubai Matcha or Latte and call it the TJ Special - they said they could!! I had a London Fog and Cinnamon Bun Latte both with Almond milk hot with a cup of ice because I can never decide on iced or hot so I always get a cup of ice and order hot to have both (because why not, life is short and do what you want) and a bunch of vegan snacks for my daughter Alaysia. Customer Service was great. It was a relaxed atmosphere... they have matchas also... and Gelato!!!! Dog friendly and wheelchair accessible!!

DeBeen Espresso is a coffee shop located in a great neighborhood in downtown Winston-Salem. Itβs a great area to walk around and explore. The coffee shop itself is primarily just Coffee drinks, sweet treats and bagels, and gelato. Itβs nicely decorated with a good atmosphere and was full of students from Wake (I assume) when I went there. Definitely worth checking out if youβre in the area.

I visited here on 11/20/21 around 4:30pm. Since itβs located downtown, parking could potentially pose a problem as there is limited spaces in front of the building. I was unsure what I wanted as I wanted to try something different. I was helped by Grace, who was extremely friendly. I like iced coffee, even when itβs cold, lol. One of the things she recommended from the speciality menu (that wasnβt posted yet) was The Drunken Nut; this came with Macadamia nut, rum, and salted caramel. It tasted good but I wanted a stronger flavor and Grace added more. Afterwards, it was perfect. I got so into drinking it, that I almost forgot to take a picture! Lol The atmosphere was chill. I saw people socializing, reading, and/or doing work. There is about 5-6 tables inside and a long bench plus about 3 two person tables outside. Overall, customer customer was great and so was my drink. I will be back as I would love to try another speciality drink!
